What is the Maximum current allowed for a 30 amps circuit?

Our latest splitter switch models are used with NEMA 10-30 and NEMA 14-30 wall sockets. Thus it should not exceed 24amps, which is the maximum recommended continuous load for a 30amp circuit according to NEC.

Basically 30 amps * 80% = 24 amps.

If the user goes over 24amps by accident, the built in circuit breaker will trip, thus disabling the Splitter Switch.
