Splitvolt’s Splitter Switch is rated for indoor use ONLY.

 

Splitvolt’s Chargers(EVSE) are rated for IP55, which offers outdoor use.

  • Protected from limited dust ingress.

  • Protected from low pressure water jets from any direction.

  • Please note that IP55 is not weather prof. Typically for weather prof, it needs to be IP65, IP66 and IP67.

    As long as the charger control box is covered from rain/sun/snow, it works outdoors. However it is not rated for long or daily direct exposure to rain/sun/snow.

  • Note that the charging plug can be frozen over in the weather, it is also recommended to cover it during extreme weather.
