Charging recommendations with Ford Mach-E

Ford Mach-E’s mobile power cord, has a NEMA 14-50 plug and charges at 32Amp According to their main website, or 30 Amps according to their documentation attached. Both rates are over the 24 amps allowed by a 30 amps circuit according to the NEC (National Electric Code).

 

Mach-E has no ability to adjust the charge rate via the car nor their included EVSE. Thus to charge a Mach-E on a 30 amps dryer circuit, one would need to purchase a SPS C1-011 or SPS C2-022 (if sharing the existing circuit is needed) and a 3rd party 24 amps EVSE, such as the
